Kimberley Sheldrick

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, RP, RSSW

I believe the most important work we can do is to continue to learn and understand ourselves.  So that we grow to become better to ourselves and to the people in our lives.

As humans, we can often fall into the habit of giving preference to our physical health over our mental and emotional health. When we neglect this part of our self, our ability to cope often diminishes, resulting in a decrease in our emotional and mental well being.

Biography

Prior to beginning graduate studies, my experience entailed working with many different individuals of all ages and from various backgrounds as a Registered Social Service Worker.  As I gained experience working in various areas of social service and health organizations, I felt drawn to further my knowledge and education, so that I could support and guide individuals with their life challenges and mental health issues to explore the self on a deeper level.  This led me to taking my Master of Arts Degree with the School of Counselling, Psychotherapy and Spirituality from Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Ontario.  I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Registration # 008252 in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Formal Education includes:

* Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality

* Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations and Spirituality; Honors

* Registered Social Service Worker with The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers

I continue to learn and grow in my profession – through continuing education and training, keeping current with research and literature - most importantly, learning from the uniqueness of each individual in the counselling experience.
